Here’s a quick update on drugs dealing crime in your area, please be reassured that we’re taking this seriously and are here to help. Earlier today has been an eventful one.
Working with Seven Sisters/St Anns SNT we conducted High Vis Patrols throughout all three wards.
Starting with Hermitage and Gardens Ward, where we hit the area of Wiltshire Gardens Off Finsbury Park Ave N4.
When entering Wiltshire Gardens a group of youths has seen officers enter the estate and have made off from Police.
Even though they were not caught following the pursuit we found a discarded phone wrapped in tin foil which was ultimately seized by SNT officers.
Officers then resumed a local search and ventured into Hermitage Road where we managed to find a youth believed to be one whom ran from officers previously to have on his person a Cannabis Joint already rolled and ready to smoke.
This individual was then subsequently searched under sec 23 of the misuse of drugs act to see if more drugs could be found.
No other items were found and therefore a Community resolution was issued.
Following this our patrols were then focused into Russell Road N15 5LT (Seven Sisters Ward) we entered a Car Park to notice a Male sleeping in a car, we then awoken the Male whom was holding a large bottle of beer who began to drink beer from the bottle he was holding.
Next to the male was the key to the car of the vehicle, officers then requested a Breathalyzer test from the male to find that he was 3 times over the legal drink drive limit.
Following a Section 32 search officers also found a small clear snap bag containing suspected class A white powder(drug tests results are still pending in custody)
As a result, the Male was for Drunk in Charge of a Motor Vehicle and arrested for being in possession of class A drugs.
When attending Edmonton Police Station to book in the Cannabis Seized in Hermitage Road, further enquiries where made in relation to the phone found by officers following the pursuit in Wiltshire Gardens resulted in a reported theft phone snatch which happened in or around the location of Burgoyne Road, Haringey, London, N4(Further Enquiries are currently ongoing following this find today)
 Drug dealing is often linked with violent crime and the exploitation of vulnerable people, and discarded drug equipment can be a health risk and counts as antisocial behaviour. We’ve put hundreds more officers on the frontlines of community crime-fighting teams, upping visible patrols in the right ‘hot spots’ so we can deter and catch criminals.
